North Congregational Church } What's Worship Like?

A Prayer and Receiving God's Forgiveness

After the singing, we say the opening prayer printed on the page you were handed. It reminds us that all of us have places in our lives where we're not perfect, and helps us to bring them to God. After we do so, our worship leader affirms that God loves us in spite of ourselves, and that we are forgiven, so that we can start the week with a clean slate. It's so much easier to spread love and forgiveness when you've received it yourself, from the only one who can truly understand what you need.
